Andromeda is our closest galactic neighbour (as galaxies go). The video below gives some scope as to the actuality of how massive our universe is. The pettiness of our present global matters is really put into standpoint when you see images such as this. It’s so stunning and inspirational just looking at it brings me to tears.
The image you are about to see is the biggest and sharpest Picture ever taken of the Andromeda galaxy — AKA M31.
It is the largest Hubble image ever issued and shows over 100 million stars and thousands of star clusters entrenched in a section of the galaxy’s pancake-shaped disc extending across over 40 000 light-years. This picture is too large to be easily presented at full resolution and is best treasured using the zoom tool.
