There Is No God and Computers Will Overtake Humans, Says Hawking

Stephen Hawking has said that there is no God and computers will overcome humans in next 100 years. The 73-year-old turned down impression of a God in a discussion by declaring that science is capable OF explaining the initiation of everything.

When asked by Spanish newspaper El Pais if researchers should ever believe in God, Hawking replied: “I use the word, God, in an impersonal sense, like Einstein did, for the laws of nature.” After that he was asked: “Do you think humans would one day leave religion and God?” to which he responded: “The laws of science are adequate to describe the origin of the cosmos. It is not necessary to invoke God.”

The motor neuron disease victim went on to say that the future of the humankind could be hostile. He said that if extra-terrestrials visit Earth, they probably will take over our planet. Hawking said: “Such advanced aliens would possibly become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach. To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational.

The real challenge is to work out what extra-terrestrials might really be like.” On the topic of artificial intelligence (AI), he said: “Computers will overtake humans with AI in some next 100 years. When that happens, we need to make sure the computers have goals aligned with ours.

I think the survival of the human race will rest on on its capability to find new homes elsewhere in the cosmos, because there’s an increasing risk that a disaster will destroy Earth. I therefore want to raise public awareness about the significance of space flight. I have learnt not to look too far ahead, but to concentrate on the present. I have so much more I want to do.”

Don’t be surprised (if you are) this isn’t the first time that the theoretical physicist has criticized religion. Back in a June, 2015, in an interview, Hawking told Spanish Newspaper El Mundo that science has taken us too far to have faith in in an all-powerful divinity. He said “Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God made the cosmos.

But now science offers a more considerable explanation. What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is, we would know everything that God would know, if there were a God, which there isn’t. I’m an atheist,”

    1. typical jesus-worshipper response; judgemental, igorant, biased, and just plain stupid. The man has ALS and one brilliant mind. Instead of judging on the surface why don't show compassion like your supposed god, you self-righteous hypocrite

    2. Well afar from being pre judgmental or anything else, science itself has proved he's absolutely not accurate. Hence I may raise 2 questions to Mr. Hawking; question 1: If science has provided complete explanation to the initiation as you've claimed (but failed to mathematically prove it), then would you explain to us in science the so-called "Singularity"? Question 2: If the laws of gravity was responsible for all this initiation, then can you prove mathematically and theoretically that gravity is a dominant force and not an emergence force which is generated after a physical change in matter or mass? If gravity, according to most reliable scientific data, hasn't always been there (before and during the Big Bang) how could it have initiated the universe?! It's like claiming that eggs had started everything, but wait a second how could eggs have existed before a chicken to lay them in the first place. With all my respect to Mr. Hawking I believe his brightness is lessening and soon he'll find himself standing on a soft ground that may swallow him into the realm of the unseen, unheard of and unfelt entities! He simply has made the biggest professional blunder of his life time!

    3. you are a backwater retard. hawking wasn't always crippled and he used to date a model back in the 60s. Hell, they made a freaking movie about him recently. Where's your movie Delta? Huh? Where's your movie? Go stuff your fat face with more McGriddle Grease and shut the fuck up.

    4. You vile, narrow minded bigot! He was not always in a chair or ill. Next you will still his illness was an act of God! YOU are the freak, you bible basher!

Well, in order to make Mr. Hawking aware of the insufficiency of the human science knowledge regarding the creation of the Universe, he should be asked two questions:
    1) Do perpetuum mobile exist in the Universe?
    2) Can human science explain perpetuum mobile?
Indeed, the Universe is full of perpetuum mobile. For instance, the gravitational field is a perpetuum mobile, as the permanent, non-wearing-out source of potential energy that it actually is, despite all the potential energy that it has already produced and that will ever produce. If its origin could have been explained by human science, we, humans, would have known by now how to generate a perpetuum mobile ourselves. It's crystal clear that human science is not capable of explaining the origin of the gravitational field and of all the other kinds of fields known by physics which have similar perpetuum mobile features. The only thing we were allowed to know is that these fields (gravitational, electrical, magnetic, etc.) exist and we were also allowed to use them in order to conquer and master the world. But, as our Holy Parents say, no one has ever had and will ever have knowledge of God, Who is the generator of all these perpetuum mobiles that are governing the Universe. It’s quite strange that a brilliant physicist like Mr. Hawking, who is very accustomed to the wave-corpuscule duality, never thought about the origins of the fields known by physics which invariably lead to God. That is, probably, because we use to think about God mainly spiritually, not understanding that He is also intrinsically present at any moment in our entire material existence.

    1. Wow, you are a complete idiot, are you aware of that? "perpetuum mobile"? No, there is no such thing as "perpetual motion". It defies basic Newtonian physics to derive energy from nothing. Continue in your dark, myopic view of Science, and your quasi-religious interpretation of Science you pulled off some "alt-right" news site. Go lay down somewhere and die Catalin.

    2. Amazing! Then explain to us please how the universe was initiated out of nothing, out of singularity?! Isn't it and according to the GUP model that suggests all had begun (all energy, matter, etc, magnetism and fields of gravity)all out of singularity which's according to the model itself is nothing but nothing!

  3. WHY T.F. are you all wasting your brain power arguing what you will eventually find out as we all will, just try and live decent and happy lives, enjoy each sunny day, be good to others and stop constantly wondering whats next and where it all started, this is Earth-School, you came to learn.Look up at the night sky and realise that the universe is so vast this planet is less than a grain of sand on a beach, why would any other race of beings want to take over this one ? when there are countless others out there, when we hatch-out of our egg' bodies maybe the answer will become clear.
